The Siemens SST-800 is a 150-MW steam turbine employed at power plant for AC electricity generation. It was designed and produced by the German firm Siemens. With a steam parameter of 140 bar and 540 degrees C. It is a single-casing direct drive engine with reverse flow design for generator applications. It is a back-pressure, condensing type turbine, with axial/radial exhaust.
The SST-800 steam turbine is also utilized for both condensing and back-pressure applications. The turbine can be set up on a foundation or as a package (includung oil system and on a base frame). Its auxiliary systems have also been conceived as pre-engineered modules covering the complete range of turbine sizes. The SST-800 can be highly customized to provide for an outstanding efficiency, fast start-up times and high reliability and availability.
